Valentines Day At Home

Valentines Day At Home

Valentines Day February 14th, a day for celebrating all things love and romance.

"Where there is love, there is life"

It goes without saying that we love those closest to us every single day and that  we don't need a specific date to remind us of this fact, however it does feel nice to have an extra special day in the yearly calendar to show those we love and care about just how much they mean to us.

Valentines day is an enjoyable time in the year which allows the opportunity to make a little extra time for one another, complimented by affectionate heartfelt gestures for those we love most.

Valentines Day At Home

If you're like me and prefer to stay at home on Valentines day then you may just find something helpful and new to do here by reading our special valentines blog.

Here are some fun ideas for you to try this valentines day and thereafter too.

Dine At Home

If you favour staying at home and would rather avoid packed out restaurants why not set the table for a romantic dinner for two, sit back and relax.

Set the mood by lighting some candles, sprinkle rose petals and pop open the champagne, prepare your favourite meal or order in a hassle free takeaway.

You could also alter this into a themed dinner setting from a place you have visited together which holds fond memories or somewhere you intend to visit in the future, have fun with it.

If you have children this doesn't mean you have to miss out, simply make them a part of the day too. Create a special family love themed dinner for all of you to enjoy, the children will love it and it makes dinner time that little more special and different from the everyday normal routine.

The smallest gestures feel amazing to another person, just a little something to show them you appreciate all of the good they bring into your life is golden.

Pizza & Love Setting

Create a special quick and easy cosy night in for two with our pizza & love option (just no arguing about who has the last slice.)

Set the table to your liking, play your favourite music playlist, dim the lights, pop your pizza in the oven, light candles, and simply reminisce, laugh, relax and enjoy one another's company.

Movie Night In

Is there anything better in the cold winter months than a cosy night in on the sofa under a big warm blanket, candles lit, a great movie and snacks on demand?

Whether this is just for yourself, the two of you or the whole family it's a great  way to spend an evening, you could even make it a Valentines day tradition too.

Everyone present writes down a movie they would like to watch and whichever one is picked out wins, this solves searching for ages trying to find something everyone agrees on.

Our gorgeous snacking stations are perfect for sharing everyone's favourite treats all year round and especially on movie nights.

Cute Gifting

Our unique hidden 'Love You' Message Mug makes a gorgeous gift, maybe it's the first time you're telling someone you love them, or you're simply reminding that special someone in your life just how much you adore them. Now they'll never forget with this cute message of love each time they use their gifted mug from you. Just don't forget the chocolates!

Indoor Valentines Picnic

Why not have a romantic indoor winter themed picnic, find space to lay a blanket add your hamper basket with all your favourite snacks, light some candles around the room, grab some cosy blankets, play some background music, dim the lights and you've got yourself a perfect valentines date night right in the comfort of your own home.

If you have a garden space and want to brave the cold then why not do the same thing but underneath the stars instead.

Adapt this idea for a family setting too it's adorable.

Love Is In The Air

Warm the room with gorgeous little finishing touches like our Love Oil burner, a pretty decorative piece you can use all year round.

Games Night

Create your very own games night for two or with the family, each of you chooses a game and you all have a turn playing your favourite.

Add some tasty food, drink and treats and you've got yourself a fun and entertaining night in.

However you choose to spend the day have a lovely time being with those you love the most.

Remember time is the most precious thing you can give to one another.

Happy Valentines Day

Sarah

xoxo
