Building Our Dream Garden Barn

Building Our Dream Garden Barn

It all started with a vision a talk over a cup of tea and a drawing that my husband drew up before the search to find the perfect company for the job.

We as a family love being outdoors and spending as much time as possible with family & friends especially in those glorious sunnier months.

We wanted to create an outdoor space that we could use all year round, whether it be for family dinners, summer BBQ's, Entertaining guests or a quiet coffee alone with your thoughts. The amazing company Amigo Outdoor Living truly brought our vision to life. Eighteen months on from completion we have really enjoyed our barn space and made many amazing memories.

We recently decided to add bifold doors to our barn so we can also enjoy it in those colder months too, we are really looking forward to this being completed in the approaching weeks.

We also added two inside heaters so we can continue to use the barn most days even when the temperature drops, they are amazingly powerful and a very good addition indeed. Our table is also a fire pit so we have options based on the ever changing English weather.

We added in a fridge to make it easier storing food and drinks for garden dining to save on endless trips back and forth to the kitchen. We also had storage cupboards built in along with a sink so this keeps everything we need for outside to hand.

We are so pleased with how it turned out and cannot thank Amigo Outdoor living enough for bringing our vision to life and completing our dream barn so fast and professionally. You can find them on instagram amigo_outdoorliving

Our barn gives us the perfect space for gatherings in just 18 months we have had so many celebrations from Birthdays, Halloween Fun, Royal Celebrations and just because the sun is shining days, it's definitely a family favourite for us all.

We have decided this year for Christmas we will take our Christmas dinner outside and hopefully our bifold doors & heaters will keep us warm. I have visions to decorate it a little too and maybe even squeeze in a Christmas tree. I'll do some further updates to this nearer to the time because first up is summer and I'm so ready for it and in no rush for that to be over anytime soon!

I hope this blog has inspired you to think about your own outdoor space, there are so many wonderful things you can do to help create your dream home. I have spent many mornings before the house wakes up with a warm drink in hand and just my thoughts it really gets my day started off in the best way possible.

(You don't need a barn to do that just a chair and fresh air is enough so try to make sometime for yourself we all need it.)

If you have outdoor spaces or are in the process of building your own and would like to share them with me I would love to see them, tag me on instagram anytime sweet_decor_from_me_to_you
